Despite incredible headwinds for over two decades, we secured a breakthrough in 2025. In November, Honduras and Suriname signed a pioneering partnership with Deutsche Bank, Bayer, Siemens and Symrise to mobilize private finance for national-level rainforest protection. This is the first Paris-compliant mechanism to bring significant corporate capital to rainforest countries.

At COP30 in Belém, we successfully negotiated rainforests into the political package and the world again agreed to reverse global deforestation by 2030. We accept that challenge. We intend to accelerate and scale our work with countries, not only to slow deforestation but to reverse it.
