The event will be addressed by the Gabon Minister of Water, Forests, Sea, Environment, responsible for the Climate Plan and the Allocation Plan Land, Minister Lee White and by the Permanent Secretary of the National Climate Council .

For several decades, Gabon has continuously worked in the fight against the climate emergency. Its involvement at the international level is marked, particularly by the ratification of Kyoto Protocol in 2006 and the ratification of the Paris Agreement in 2016 preceding the publication of the first Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) of African countries, published in 2015.
