Mark Grundy Joins the Coalition as MD, Global Marketing & Communications

Monday, October 12, 2020, New York; Mark Grundy joins Coalition for Rainforest Nations as Managing Director, Global Marketing & Communications

Mark brings over  15 years of experience in public relations, marketing, and communications within energy, environment and climate in USA and Europe. Before joining CFRN recently, he spent 10 years with mission-based not-for-profits working in energy. He was a managing director for the clean energy think-tank, Rocky Mountain Institute. Here, he helped drive brand awareness during a period when the organization grew from a $12 million regional not-for-profit to a $65 million global brand. Prior to that, he was director of communications for Sir Richard Branson’s Carbon War Room, a market-based climate non-profit, which merged with Rocky Mountain Institute in 2014.

After moving to US from Europe in 2006, Mark worked for Edelman Public Relations, where he was a Vice-President in the Corporate Social Responsibility Practice in  New York. He provided strategic counsel and public relations campaigns on climate, energy and environment for Fortune 500 firms, governments and not-for-profits. He started his environment and climate career as a Communications Officer with the European Commission’s Environment Agency, in Copenhagen, Denmark.
